MOVIE NIGHT Downtown City Park, October 26 at 7 pm

Welcome to the City of Auburndale's web site!

At first glance, Auburndale appears to be a quiet city with "hometown quality." A lingering look reveals a firmly established, steadily growing community with a population of 13,792 residents. Teamwork abounds in every aspect - business and industry, education, sports, and recreation. The vital element in our success is the spirit of community, which is one of Auburndale's main attractions.

Featured Business of the Month: Publix

Publix Super Market is being recognized as the September 2013 “Business of the Month.”   Publix opened Auburndale store #16 in 1951 on Main Street, then Bartow Avenue in the building now serving as the fellowship hall of the First Missionary Baptist Church.  In 1977, Publix moved into the Havendale Plaza, and in 2004 relocated across 42nd Street to its current location.  The Auburndale Publix employees 124 associates and continues to be a strong performing store for the Lakeland-based chain.   The City of Auburndale would like to recognize Publix for their long standing commitment to the Auburndale business community and their generosity and contributions that help to make Auburndale a better place to live, work, and play.   The Auburndale Publix Store management team and associates are involved in donating time and money to the United Way, providing personal shopping for elderly residents at The Manor, building homes for Habitat for Humanity, and donating to local youth sports, programs, and events.

I would like to recognize the John Cadenhead, Assistant Store Manager of Publix and Chelsea Boseman, Customer Service Team Leader to come forward and receive a plaque from Mayor Richard Hamann and invite them to say a few words.

"Auburndale is a wonderful place to live, work & play!"
