The City of Auburndale’s Community Development Department provides a wide range of services to the community stakeholders of Auburndale. The Department provides strategies to enhance development, revitalization, and preservation of the city’s character, neighborhoods, and natural environment. Other tasks include permitting, and commercial and residential inspections.
The Community Development Office handles the planning & zoning services of the City. They administer the policies, programs and regulations that manage development within the City of Auburndale. The office provides assistance to customers with Land Development Regulation questions, reviews site development plans to ensure compliance with adopted policies and regulations, and provides information to the City Commission.
The Construction Services Office registers licensed contractors doing work in the City, issues building permits, reviews all construction plans, and inspects all buildings under construction in Auburndale. Construction Services also issues all business tax receipts for businesses located in the City.
