Minimum Standards for Firefighters
- At least 18 years old
- Must possess a valid State of Florida driver’s license
- Current CPR/ACLS certification
- Be Able to Pass a Physical Examination
Annual Training
- 192 hours of company training
- 12 hours of driver training
- 6 hours of hazardous materials training
- 18 hours of facility training
- 12 hours of officer training (mandatory for officers)
- State/Nationally certified Emergency Medical Technician (EMT)
Certifications
