National Prescription Drug Take Back Day is on Saturday, April 22, 2022, from 10:00 am to 2:00 pm. This is an opportunity for citizens to dispose of unwanted, unneeded, and expired medications in a safe manner.
This effort is important to allow people to responsibly dispose of prescription drugs and eliminate the potential abuse of them. It also prevents pharmaceuticals from contaminating our lakes and ground water. Please do not dispose of prescription drugs by flushing them in the toilet.
Our community’s Prescription Drug Take Back Day will take place at the Auburndale Police Department at 2 Bobby Green Plaza, Auburndale, FL. Citizens may turn in unused, expired, or unwanted human and pet medications, as well as over the counter medications, vitamins, and other medication in liquid or solid form, for proper disposal. There will be plastic bags provided on-site for medication disposal.
