What Happens to the Recycling Container?
Households that currently have a recycling container can continue to keep and use it as a second trash receptacle in the case that their primary container is filled. New customers to sanitation services will only receive one trash container. Options to purchase additional receptacles will still be offered.
Where Do You Drop Off Recyclables?
The recycling center, located at 915 Charles Avenue, will become the centralized point of all recycling for the City of Auburndale. These dumpsters will be individually marked to collect certain types of recyclable materials. Residents are invited to bring their recyclable materials to the recycling center and place them in the appropriate dumpster. This system can ensure that the right materials are collected and can potentially improve the efficiency of our recycling stream. Check out what you can recycle at our recycling center!
What Can You Recycle?
The following items will be accepted at the City of Auburndale’s recycling center:
- Paper
- Aluminum & Metal Cans
- Cardboard
- Plastic
- Only translucent plastics (no colored or clear plastics) are accepted
