About Us
The Water Conservation Division is responsible for implementing programs and distributing information that helps our residents save water and money. There are several programs offered by the department with support from the Polk Regional Water Cooperative. Please view program information and applications below. Applications can be filled out digitally or by printing and completing. Completed forms may be emailed to our Water Conservation Division, physically turned in to the Public Works Department at 915 Charles Avenue, or mailed to City of Auburndale Utilities, P.O. Box 186, Auburndale, FL 33823.
Ways That You Can Save Water
- Only run the washing machine and dishwasher when you have a full load
- Use a low flow shower head and faucet aerators
- Inspect plumbing and irrigation systems and fix leaks
- Install a dual flush or low flow toilet or put a conversion kit on your existing toilet
- Don’t overwater your lawn, and install rain sensors on irrigation systems
- Plant Florida-friendly landscaping
- Monitor your water usage on your water bill using EyeOnWater
Toilet Rebate Program
Qualifications
- Active water utility customers of City of Auburndale Utilities
- Replacing old toilet(s) with new Watersense labeled toilet(s)
- Old toilet(s) is 3.5 gallon/flush or more
- Old toilet(s) will not be re-installed, and disposed of
Wireless Rain Sensors
Qualifications
- Homeowner must be an active customer of City of Auburndale Utilities
- The home currently has a programmable irrigation system
Smart Irrigation Controller
Qualifications
- Active water utility customers of City of Auburndale Utilities
- Must use minimum 15,000 gal/month averaged over 3 months
- Smart controller must be programmed to irrigate on mandatory designated water days
- Must have functioning wireless rain sensor installed

Landscape and Irrigation Evaluation
Information
- Participation in this program is free to City of Auburndale Utilities customers
- Must have a working automatic sprinkler system with a time clock to participate
- Complete application, send in, and a contractor will contact you to arrange an appointment
